Black Bamboo, Clumping Bamboo, Ground Cover, and Screening Bamboo
There are several varieties of bamboo, including black bamboo, clumping bamboo, ground cover bamboo, and screening bamboo. Some bamboos can be used to fill in areas quickly to create a privacy screen from unsightly neighboring properties or stay confined to an area for accent planting. Apex Bamboo, LLC is now also selling bamboo poles for simple to complex crafts and projects.
Fast Screening Non-Bamboo Plants
I also have other fast screening plants where bamboo is not an option due to HOAs and other restrictive circumstances.
Bamboo Plant Screen Installations
I offer full bamboo plant screen installations. The bamboo varieties I use have been proven to be well adapted for the area to provide an evergreen visual and sound barrier all year around so that you can enjoy peace and privacy in your own yard. The best aspect of bamboo is that there is a bamboo for every kind of situation. For small yards where spreading is a concern, clumping bamboo is the best choice. For larger more open areas where spreading is not a concern, running bamboo is the best choice.
Onsite Consultations
Prior to bamboo screen installations, I offer onsite bamboo consultations throughout all of North Carolina. Consultations are prepaid through PayPal prior to visits. The price for an onsite consultation is $65 per hour plus $1.50 per mile one way. During the onsite consultation, I observed the generally desired location of the planting site for lighting conditions as well as the soil and surrounding plants. Some bamboo plants make great understory plants to fill in where there are gaps in already existing plant screens. I then determine how many plants are needed and what is the best specific planting location for the optimum health of the plants including water runoff and overhead sun exposure. The next step is to determine the best location for full visual and sound screen impact in relation to the privacy area. Once all recommendations have been determined, the installation date will be set up to accommodate your schedule. Prior to bamboo plant installations, you should have marked any water lines or electrical lines in the desired planting areas to prevent any damage, as I will not be liable.
